The Palmetto Genealogy Association was certified as a non profit corporation
duly organized under the laws of the State of South Carolina on December 9, 2003. We are excited about our association and hope to provide you with as much "free" genealogical information on South Carolina families as we possibly can. We welcome anyone with ties to the Palmetto State. The Palmetto Genealogy Association was founded on the premise of "genealogy first". It is our intent to provide a different way for a genealogy group to conduct research, share, communicate and deliver information for all. Please visit us often, as new information will be posted weekly. This site is not now, nor will it ever be complete. While you may not find a particular area or county listed at this time, eventually we hope to cover the entire State of South Carolina. The information within this site - PalmettoRoots.org - should be used as a research "tool" and researchers should properly investigate all the sources on their own.
