Alston, Molly Family Burying Ground – located Bethel Community of Fairfield County, SC, just off Hwy. (East) 269.
Anderson Family Burying Ground – It is located on the Great Falls Hwy., past Richburg, and a short distance beyond the Heath’s Chapel Methodist Church. It is also known as “Green Meeting House Graveyard” and later was known as “Jackson’s Burying Ground.”; October 1948.
Atkinson Family Burying Ground – located about 5 mi. west of Chester on Hwy. 9
Bethesda Church Graveyard – York County, SC, original site of Bethesda Presbyterian Church.; September 26, 1964
Blake Burying Ground – situated off Hwy. 901 on Mr. Carl Gibson’s home place, southeast of Chester County.
Boulware Burying Ground – Fairfield County, SC, in a rock wall enclosure not far from Wateree Presbyterian Church.
Brown, Vincent Burying Ground – located behind Dale Beer’s Rd. on the Robert Stevenson place (1970). Shows a recent highway map in SC section of Chester County.
Burnt Meeting House Cemetery – situated in the eastern section of Chester County, SC, the community familiarly called Wylie’s Mill. The Burnt Meeting House Cemetery is located where Lower Fishing Creek Meeting House once stood. The latter mentioned church was burned by a forest fire. The communicants of the Reverend Mr. Richardson’s church continued to use the churchyard as a burial ground for well over a century after the Meeting House had been destroyed.
Caldwell Burying Ground – located in Chester County, SC, on secondary road #12-72 beyong Pleasant Grove Church and old Wilson Church across from Mr. Sam Bennett’s farm and directly across from electric tower.
Cane Creek Church Graveyard – Cane Creek Church was organized shortly after Revolutionary War as a Quaker Congregation. Later is was used by all denominations and finally became a Presbyterian meeting house. The old church in now gone. Union County, SC, situated about 2 mi. west of Santuc Village and near (1965) the Reese Beckham home; November 7, 1965
Carter Burying Ground – situated in Baton Rouge section of Chester County, SC, on road from Hwy. 9 to Calvary Church; no longer exists; 1970
Carter, Churchill Graveyard – situated in Wilksburg area of Chester County.
Chapman Burying Ground – located in the Halsellville section of Chester County, SC on a hill overlooking Welches Fork of Little Sandy River.
Chisholm Family Burying Ground – situated about 8 mi. east of Chester on land which in 1957 was owned by Bob Betts.; 1957
Cloud Family Cemetery – located to the left of the road to Nitrolee near the bridge across the Catawba River.; 1956
Coleman, Allen Burying Ground – rock walled plot, Chester County, SC, east of road from Blackstock to Great Falls.

Coleman, Robert H. grave – a family burying ground with many field stones only one marked. Feasterville section of Fairfield County, SC.
Coleman, Wylie Burying Ground – located directly back of the old Wylie Coleman house in Fairfield County, SC; June 1970.
Colvin-Cornwell Burying Ground – in Chester County, SC, near the Fairfield County line on a secondary road which connects Hwy. 72 with Ashford Ferry Rd. Situated about ¼ mi. off road in front of the old Nathan Stone house which is now in ruins.; May 31, 1957
Cook Burying Ground – situated on hillcrest near Cook’s Ferry on the Broad River near Alson, SC; August 10, 1949
Cornwell Family Burying Ground – located near Chester on the old home place of Levi Roden Wilkes, on the road to Carlisle and about 5 ½ mi. from Chester.; 1957
Covenanter Graveyard – the old Church is gone and the cemetery itself is in the middle of a tract of woodland off Peden Bridge Rd. near the fire tower.; March 24, 1957
Crawford Burying Ground – located Chester County, SC, near Richburg, SC.
Crawford, George grave – located back of the James W. Crowder, Jr. farm on Fishing Creek Rd. in Chester County, SC; July 1970.
Crosby Family Cemetery – situated on west side Hwy. 215, Cool Branch community, Fairfield County, SC
Crosby Family Burying Ground – located north side of road from Cool Branch Baptist Church to Beaver Creek Baptist Chruch, high on a bank beyond Mrs. Sue Estes Crosby’s home place.
Darby, Templeton Burying Ground – situated on old Ira Pressley Farm in western section of Chester County, SC, in a pine forest enclosed by barbed wire; April 11, 1963

DeBardeleben Burying Ground – enclosed by stone wall located about 100 yards east of Southern Railway about 2 mi. north of Blackstock, SC in Chester County, near Fairfield County line.

Egger, Andrew Family Graveyard – situated in upper Chester County and not far above the present town of Lowrys, SC, deep in the woods.

Estes Burying Ground – located in Halsellville section of Fairfield County, SC, about 200 yards of the Chester County line.; June 15, 1970

Farr Burying Ground – located Union County, SC on Fowler Farm near Kelton, SC.
Farr, Col. William Burying Ground – located back on Cone Mill, near Carlisle, SC, Union County.
Feaster-Coleman Burying Ground – located in Feasterville section of Fairfield County, SC; May 31, 1957
Fish Dam Graveyard – it was at one time, according to the late Thomas Weir Davis, connected with a Baptist Church near this site known as Fish Dam Church, Union County, SC.
Fowlers’ Graveyard – situated in York County, SC near the Chester County line. I am told this was once the site of a Baptist Church of which a Rev. Fowler was pastor. The remains of a rock wall and handsome iron gate still stand; 1962.
Gaither Burying Ground – situated in Fairfield County, SC, below Great Falls about 1 ½ mi. beyond Chester County line. Remote and difficult to approach; over ¾ mi. of overgrown woodland, rock walled enclosure; July 11, 1970.
Gist Family Burying Ground – located in Union County, SC, near old Pinckneyville.
Gladden-Powell Burying Ground – in Fairfield County near Mt. Olivet Presbyterian Church, deep in the woods surrounded by a substantial rock wall.
Gladney Burying Ground – located in Little River section of Fairfield County, SC, on land which now belongs to Mr. Ed. Stevenson, about 1 ½ mi. from paved road; June 28, 1970
Glenn Burying Ground – located near Wallaceville, SC in Fairfield County.
Gooch, John Burying Ground – located on the old Gooch home place site to the left of Hwy. From Rock Hill to Great Falls, about 2 mi. south of Fort Lawn.

Halsell, Edward grave – a single grave on land now owned by John McLurkin, in Halsellville sectoin of Chester County, near Fairfield County line.
Halsell Family Burying Ground – located about 10 mi. out Ashford Ferry Rd., past Piney Grove Church, opposite man’s home which is on left hand side of road going from Chester. Cemetery in small grove of pines beside road. No stones standing July 1, 1957. All broken and lying on ground.
Harbison Burying Ground – located in Chester County, SC, about 1 mi. above Old Catholic Presbyterian Church.
Harbison, William Burying Ground – located to the right of the Peden Bridge Rd., Chester County, about 1 mi. back and to the left of the old William Peden house. Small rock walled enclosure; February 1959
Heath Burying Ground – located in Great Falls section of Chester County, SC, on land belonging to Mrs. Hattie Gayden Smith and back of home of Mr. Leonard Jordan. About ½ mi. off highway, remote and difficult to find; July 11, 1970.
Hemphill Burying Ground – located a few hundred yards from present (1934) crossing of Rocky Creek on Chester to Great Falls Hwy.
Hill Family Burying Ground – located on 215, near Feasterville, SC in Fairfield County, SC, near Chester County line: June 1957
Howell Burying Ground – situated in York County, SC, near the east bank of the Broad River and about 1 ½ or 2 mi. west of the old DARWIN Burying Ground; March 21, 1963
Howze Burying Ground – located in 1934 back of Mr. Robert Anderson’s old place in the Fort Lawn area of Chester County, SC.
Hughes Cemetery – located near old Whitlock house in Union County, SC
Hunter Burying Ground – located to the right of West End Rd. across the Tan Yard Branch; destroyed; 1956
Irish Graveyard – a neighborhood graveyard situated in Chester County, SC above the mouth of Turkey Creek on the Broad River about 1 mi. south of the bridge at Lockhart.; ca 1940
Jeffares Family Burying Ground – located in Fairfield County across the road from the old Jeffares homesite.; 1957
Jordan Burying Ground – situated near Rowells in the Landsford section of Chester County at the end of a road that has become (1970) impassable; 1963
Kee Burying Ground – located in Chester County, SC, on Alex Marion place at Richburg in 1934.; 1957
Leech Family Burying Ground – York County, SC, on the east side of Broad River and not far from the old Darwin and the Smith-Howell-Price Graveyard. This cemetery is about 1 mi. from “Bud’s Fish Pond.”; March 21, 1963
Lowry Family Burying Ground – located about 6 mi. southeast of Blackstocks, back of the Douglas Place in Fairfield County, SC.
Lyles Burying Ground – located on west side of the Broad River in Newberry County, SC, about 1 mi. from Shelton’s Ferry.
Marshall Burying Ground – located in upper Fairfield County, SC; 1 April 1960
Martin grave – located Great Falls Rd. to Rossville; first left hand road, short distance off main road near his old home site; 1936

Mayo Burying Ground – located on Phillip Mayo Plantation about 2 mi. from Jenkinsville in Fairfield County, SC.
McDonald Burying Ground – in 1934, this was situated on land owned by Mr. Sumter Brown who married Lula McDonald. By 1968, the land had passed into the hands of Mr. Edward Mills – in Chester County near Blackstocks, SC.
McKeown Burying Ground – located in Chester County, on the “Goldmine Place” near Cornwell.
McKeown Family Cemetery – located 1 mi. north of Cornwell, SC on #321.
McLure Burying Ground – located Chester County, SC, on old McLure Plantation off Hwy. 72; 1956
McNinch Family Burying Ground – located on old McWaters Farm near Chester, SC
McWaters Burying Ground – located in 1932 on Estate of the late H. C. Grafton in Fairfield County, SC.
Means Burying Ground – located in Fairfield County, SC, north of Salem Presbyterian Church on land formerly belonging to Means Family. Near here Governor Means lived.; 1956

Mitchell Burying Ground – located in a dense thicket about ¼ mi. before you reach the MOORE Cemetery (going from Brushy Fork Cemetery to the firetower.)

Mizpah Presbyterian Church Cemetery – located Ashford Ferry Rd., Chester County, SC. Church formed 1874 and dissolved 1916.
Mobley, B. G. Burying Ground – Old Mobley Cemetery on Hwy. 72, about 4 mi. SW of Chester, City Hall.
Mobley, Edward Pickett Burying Ground – located at White Hall, the old family home, 5 ½ mi. east of White Oak, SC; December 22, 1956

Moffatt-Strong-McDill Graveyard – located near Little Rockey Creek on the Raines Farm.
Moore Burying Ground – This little cemetery is on the right hand side of County Road #130 just before you get to the road which goes to the firetower.; October 28, 1956
Moore Burying Ground – located in Fairfield County, SC
Moorhead Burying Ground – situated in what was formerly Union County, SC and is now Cherokee County, SC.
Morrow Family Burying Ground – situated on the Carlyle White farm about a mi. from Chester on an acre of land which we were told was left for the cemetery and cannot be sold. This is off York Rd. We were guided there by a very old gentleman, Joseph Morrow, who has since died.; March 4, 1957
New Bethel Baptist Church Graveyard – located in York County, SC, just over the Chester line. This church was disbanded many years ago and the building was sold and dismantled. This old graveyard is on a hill deep in the woods and can be reached only by foot.; December 1, 1956
Old Fennell-Bennett Burying Ground – off Pinckney Rd., near edge of woods, on land which belonged in 1957 to Mr. Paul Hemphill, Sr.; March 24, 1957
Old Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery – near Bascomville, SC. Church burned ca. 1926 and the cemetery is now unused and abandoned.; June 22, 1957
Old Lebanon Presbyterian Church – called Old Stone Church and now in ruins. Located south of Hwy. 34, back of the Lemon Turner home, about 6 mi. west of Winnsboro, Fairfield County, SC; 1959
Old Mt. Zion Baptist Church Graveyard – situated in Great Falls area, off Hwy. 53, of Chester County, SC, on land now (1970) owned by Mr. Clyde Johnson
Old Shaw Baptist Church Graveyard – situated on a knoll near Broad River in the Sandy River area. This church burned and the congregation moved to the present site, Brushy Fork; April 28, 1957.
Old Stone Graveyard – so called because of Stone Wall which encloses the land, not from any one family buried in this spot. It is an old community graveyard and is not now is use. Situated near the Catawba River and Landsford in Chester County, SC.
Old Stroud Cemetery – located off SC Hwy. 99, Chester County, SC, on a secondary road beyond Mr. Wade Stroud’s home on land now owned by the Canal Wood Company.; 1961
Old Union M. E. Graveyard – located about 3 mi. from Fort Lawn to the left of Hwy. 97 (back of the Kelsey Place), Chester County, SC; 1956
Paul’s Graveyard – this graveyard is located on the right of the road from Richburg to Rossville on the crest of a small knoll. (Convenanters)

Price Burying Ground – located near the old Douglas School House, Chester County, SC.
Richmond Covenanter Graveyard – marker erected 1959, Fairfield County, SC, reads: “South Carolina Graveyard of the Richmond Covenanter Church Reformed Presbyterian (a quarter mile east). Here lie buried many of the Scotch Irish pioneers, who, in 1772, under the leadership of the Rev. William Martin, founded one of the first Covenanter churches in upper South Carolina.”; 1960.

Smith Family Burying Ground – situated on a hillside near the old house known as the “Old E. M. Smith place”, Hwy. 211 about 3 mi. west of Hickory Grove, York County, SC, near the Broad River.; February 2, 1963

Smyrna Church Cemetery – an Associate Church which was active in early 1800’s. Situated on a knoll about 100 yards from Hwy. on road leading from Orr’s Station to Lancaster Rd. in Chester County, SC.

Sterling Burying Ground – situated on the right of the Columbia Hwy. south of Woodward; 1951
Stevenson Family Burying Ground – located on a hill about 150 yards north of Fairfield County, SC. Hwy. 50 about 1.9 mi. east of Hwy. 215 at Cool Branch Baptist Church.
Stroud – Clifton Burying Ground – located east of SC Hwy. 77, south of Fishing Creek, Chester County, SC.
Taylor, Thomas grave – located in old Pinckneyville, which is in Union County, SC, at the confluence of the Broad and Pacolet Rivers. Pinckneyville is now a ghost town.
Terry, John Burying Ground – located on land now belonging to Mr. George Moore on Hwy. 72 about 4 mi. from Chester. Mr. Edward Moore guided us to this site, which is about 2 mi. from highway; June 28, 1970
Triplett Burying Ground – situated in Chester County, SC, near present village of Leeds.; March 9, 1957
Unity Presbyterian Church – located in York County, SC, between Sugaw Creek and Steele Creek and near Fort Mill, SC.; 1960
Wall – Thorn Burying Ground – located in the city limits of Great Falls near St. Michaels Church. In November 1969 only one stone was left standing. (9 burials listed)
Wallace Burying Ground – located near Wallaceville, SC, Fairfield County.
Walker, Polly Burying Ground – located on top of a high hill on land owned by Mrs. Jarvis Frazer. (2 stones recorded last name GOORE)
Westbrook Burying Ground – located Chester County, SC, on Hwy. 97 at the creek near the bridge and near spot which on Mills 1925 Atlas is marked as Westbrook’s Blacksmith Shop. Ruins of the old shop are nearby; 1970
Wham Burying Ground – located off the Mountain Lakes road on land belonging to Mr. George Moore, about 2 mi. from highway over difficult terrain. This is a rock-walled enclosure which had a hand-wrought iron gate mounted on stone pillars. Mr. Moore says the gate, the pillars and three markers were stolen several years ago, one stone remains; June 28, 1970
Woods Family Graveyard – located near the old Richard Woods home on Broad River, Chester County, SC.
Worthy, William grave – a single grave known as “Buck” Worthy’s grave, about 40 feet from the road in the Brushy Fork Church neighborhood; May 1970.
